Every Adventure is Unique

Jeep is known for its Trail Rated® badge—a designation that all Jeep Wrangler models wear proudly. In addition to their ability to perform well on any given terrain, the Wrangler and the Wrangler Rubicon are equipped with different 4×4 systems, which allow them to perform better in certain scenarios.

On top of that, Wranglers are known for their removable tops and doors! In fact, both models offer numerous ways to experience true open-air freedom, such as these top configurations:

  • Sunrider® for soft top and hardtop
  • Black Freedom Top® 3-piece hardtop
  • Body-color 3-piece hardtop
  • Sky One-Touch® power top

Despite their similarities, the Wrangler Rubicon looks slightly different than the Wrangler. For starters, you’ll find signature Rubicon badging, a higher stance, and bold fender flares designed to accommodate up to 35-inch wheels!

The Wheel Deal

Jeep is known for its Trail Rated® badge—a designation that all Jeep Wrangler models wear proudly. In addition to their ability to perform well on any given terrain, the Wrangler and the Wrangler Rubicon are equipped with different 4×4 systems, which allow them to perform better in certain scenarios.

For starters, the Wrangler makes Command-Trac® 4x4 system standard. This system delivers torque to all wheels for optimized traction. If you prefer rock crawling and flat towing, the Wrangler is made for these activities and all kinds of adventures in between.

On the other hand, the Wrangler Rubicon makes Rock-Trac® 4x4 System standard, which provides more torque and control overall. Plus, its 4:1 low gear ratio allows you to crawl over terrain at lower speeds. So, if you prefer navigating tricky trails, choose the Wrangler Rubicon.

Available to the Rubicon and the Rubicon 392 is the Xtreme Recon Package. This upgrade adds 35-inch tires to your Rubicon, which not only makes your ride height taller, but also increases the vehicle’s ground clearance and water fording capabilities:

  • Ground clearance: 12.9 inches
  • Water fording depth: 33.6 inches

So, if you want an SUV with ultimate off-roading capabilities, the Rubicon can be for you.
